The feature is available for both Android and iOS devices. Before this, s had to scan a QR code to to the WhatsApp web. This added layer of security will also notify s if anyone is trying to access their WhatsApp on the web. s will be able to unlink their WhatsApp with a few taps to secure their .
WhatsApp has explained that to complete the linking process s will first have to use the Face ID feature of the Fingerprint sensor on their smartphone first, then finish the process using the QR code to stay signed in to their s.
